Zytoprotec, an innovative medical technology company from Austria, recently signed an agreement to open its Greater China headquarters in Shanghai's Minhang district.
Zytoprotec, German biotech group Faendrich Biotech and the Shanghai-based Super Medical Technology Platform will form a joint venture that combines their strengths, aiming to introduce advanced treatments for kidney disease to China.
At the heart of Zytoprotec's offerings is PDProtec®, a groundbreaking peritoneal dialysis fluid. It features a unique cell protection mechanism that reduces complications like peritonitis in dialysis patients and is expected to lower cardiovascular-related deaths by 40 percent.
The new headquarters will also benefit from resources at the New Hongqiao International Medical Center, facilitating local research and the development of tailored kidney disease treatments.
With its new base in Shanghai, Zytoprotec is set to enhance the quality of kidney disease treatments available in China, bringing global innovations closer to Chinese patients.
