Shanghai's comprehensive service platform for helping businesses go global went online on Dec 26.

The platform connects service centers across the city to provide a comprehensive network of online and in-person services.

The Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center in the Hongqiao International Central Business District serves as the Hongqiao Sub-platform.

Aiming to be the first stop for businesses looking to expand abroad, the center offers professional services to match companies with global resources.

Here is what it achieved in 2025:

This year, it organized 382 events and supported 7,000 companies in their digital expansion efforts, covering industries like medical devices, new energy vehicles, and cross-border e-commerce.

The center launched the "Hong Xiao Er" WeChat mini-program, offering services like overseas investment advice and legal compliance checks. Since November, it's been used over 6,500 times by more than 2,200 users, making it easier for businesses to access necessary resources.

With over 100 international partners, the center released the "Hongqiao Overseas Map", providing guidance for businesses entering new markets. It also published resources like the "Guidelines for Chinese Enterprises Going Global" and the "Hongqiao Cases of Going Global".

To facilitate cross-border operations, the center improved services for overseas investment filings and business travel cards, handling over 36,000 enterprise-related and over 12,000 foreigner-related services this year.

The center worked with key cities in the Yangtze River Delta region to offer training and support for businesses, attracting over 330 representatives. This collaboration aims to make it easier for companies in the region to expand internationally.
