Nearly 100 young entrepreneurs, intellectual property experts, digital technology specialists and finance professionals gathered at the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District on Aug 12 for a salon on helping companies expand overseas.
The 10th "Hongqiao Partners Face-to-Face" event focused on digital trade and cross-border digital asset management. Experts shared practical solutions covering overseas brand protection, cross-border e-commerce compliance, international finance and data flows.
Yang Zhengwei, executive deputy director of the Hongqiao International CBD Administrative Commission, said Hongqiao is working to become the prime service hub for global‑bound enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region.
The CBD is strengthening the role of the Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center and bringing together professional institutions to provide services ranging from overseas planning and investment to compliance and cross-border data management.
During the event, speakers also shared real-world cases, including the international protection of the "Paul Frank" IP and new approaches to taking Chinese cultural assets global.
A roundtable brought together young entrepreneurs from Shanghai and Anhui province to discuss overseas strategies in the changing global business environment.
Hongqiao plans to further improve its full-chain services for companies going global, covering compliance, technology, finance and cross-border data, and help more Yangtze River Delta businesses connect with global markets.
