An AI-powered service at the Hongqiao International Talent Service Center is making it easier for foreign professionals to settle into life in Shanghai.
Foreign teachers from Shanghai United International School recently visited the center to apply for residence permits. During their visit, staff introduced the AI service, which provides multilingual guidance on a range of daily-life and policy questions.
Foreign nationals can use the service to learn about visa-free policies, entry and exit procedures, social insurance and other services with just a few taps on the screen.
The teachers also received one-stop support for their residence permit applications, including photo-taking, form filling and document submission. Staff provided step-by-step assistance throughout the process.
The Hongqiao International Talent Service Center provides multilingual services for foreign nationals living and working in Shanghai, including residence permit applications, entry-exit services and employment-related policy guidance.
By combining AI tools with in-person assistance, the center is improving the experience for international talent and helping them better adapt to life and work in Shanghai.
