Energy storage manufacturer JDEnergy has expanded into the Minhang area of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District, with its subsidiary, StrPower, establishing operations at Eureka City Industrial Park.
StrPower specializes in self-developed solid-state transformer technology and will provide local services for industries including new energy, computing power and energy coordination, biomedicine, and brain-computer interfaces.
Backed by more than a decade of SST research and energy storage experience, StrPower focuses on 35-kilovolt high-voltage energy storage systems and is also developing solutions for data centers and high-power fast charging.
The subsidiary is expected to grow into a Yangtze River Delta headquarters for SST intelligent manufacturing, overseas marketing, and digital power trading, according to a JDEnergy executive.
Minhang is a major hub for advanced energy equipment and green industries. Its industrial output in these sectors exceeded 170 billion yuan ($23.8 billion) in 2025. Backed by efficient government services and a strong industrial base, the JDEnergy project was established in just 76 days from initial contact.
Huacao town, where Eureka City Industrial Park is located, is seeing growing demand for reliable power as biomedicine, research, and manufacturing projects expand.
StrPower said it will use Huacao as a base to serve the Hongqiao area and the broader Yangtze River Delta, helping develop the region into a hub for smart manufacturing of next-generation power equipment.
