Chinese industrial measurement technology company VISION3D has established a wholly owned subsidiary in the Minhang area of Shanghai's Hongqiao International Central Business District, bringing its homegrown 3D measurement technologies to the area's advanced manufacturing ecosystem.
Weijing 3D (Shanghai) Intelligent Technology Co Ltd is owned by Wuhan Weijing 3D Technology Co Ltd, which specializes in optical automated 3D measurement and industrial precision inspection. The company plans to integrate its technologies and products into Hongqiao's high-end equipment, aerospace and digital intelligent manufacturing sectors.
VISION3D's blue-light scanning equipment achieves single-frame measurement accuracy of 0.005 millimeters, with each scan taking 0.2 seconds. In aero-engine blade inspection, a single blade can be measured in about two minutes, with accuracy better than 0.01 mm.
For new energy vehicle battery production, the company's systems can measure more than 600 key dimensions of a battery box in a 149-second online inspection cycle. The company said the technology helped raise product yield from 64 percent to 96 percent.
Its product portfolio includes automated production-line measurement systems, industrial blue-light scanners and handheld 3D measurement devices, serving sectors such as aerospace, rail transit, shipbuilding and precision manufacturing.
VISION3D is a national high-tech enterprise and a national-level specialized and sophisticated "little giant" enterprise. Its technologies and products have received multiple science and technology awards in China. The company also exhibited at Hannover Messe 2026 in Germany.
As manufacturing becomes increasingly digital and intelligent, VISION3D aims to use industrial measurement data to help manufacturers improve quality control, traceability and production efficiency.
A company representative said the move to Hongqiao aligns its expansion plans with the area's industrial strengths, enabling the company to develop its technologies alongside local advanced manufacturing businesses.
