The Spring Festival spirit is in full swing at Shanghai's Panlong Tiandi, where a New Year temple fair, snake and fish-shaped lanterns, booths featuring intangible cultural heritage items, and more have created a festive atmosphere.
The Panlong Fair, a highlight of Spring Festival celebrations, features New Year specialty stalls, festive lanterns, and interactive activities such as making hand-weaved red strings and paper-cutting window decorations.
Themed on the "Jiangnan New Year", Panlong Tiandi has put up lanterns by the water so that passersby can admire them. At night, hundreds of exquisite lanterns illuminate the ancient streets and bridges, creating a dazzling display. To mark the Year of the Snake, the venue is also adorned with snake shadow lanterns, inviting visitors to enjoy the twinkling lights along ancient stone bridges and winding alleys.
There will also be dragon and lion dance performances and traditional shadow plays to attract holidaymakers.
Panlong Tiandi is a lifestyle and commercial project fusing an ancient town aesthetic with an open block layout. It revitalizes the Panlong Ancient Town and combines culture, nature, and modern urban life. A three-kilometer water system with boat docks enhances the cultural experience.
