Trip.com Group, a leading online travel agency based in the Hongqiao International Central Business District (CBD), is a pioneer in the CBD's efforts to promote Silk Road e-commerce.
By harnessing internet technologies, the company is helping transform traditional tourism in Silk Road partner countries and promoting their travel products to the vast Chinese market.
The company launched an Asia Live Streaming Centre in Bangkok, Thailand, last year, which integrates the company's extensive live streaming expertise with Thailand's dynamic live streaming ecosystem, offering comprehensive marketing solutions to partners.
China has remained Thailand's largest trading partner for several years, and Trip.com's decision to establish its live streaming center in Thailand is the result of ongoing collaboration between the two countries.
Through collaborations with Thai hotels, attractions, and businesses, Trip.com showcases a diverse array of travel products and exclusive deals, including high-quality hotels, attractions, and restaurants featured on its prestigious reputation list. These offerings cater to local residents and international tourists eager to explore Thailand's rich cultural landscape.
The live streaming center currently provides services in Thai, Cantonese, and English, and it has conducted 60 live events with a total viewership exceeding 10 million. Trip.com plans to replicate this successful model in other markets, further extending its innovative approach to tourism promotion.

Over the past four years, Trip.com has significantly advanced its live streaming capabilities, strengthening its official brand and empowering partner brands with high-quality solutions.
The company's 900 official live streams have accumulated over 10,000 hours of content, with viewership reaching 2.1 billion and media references hitting 1 billion.
In 2024 alone, Trip.com introduced 17 product categories, featuring over 56,000 high-end hotel options and covering more than 800 domestic and international destinations. The annual live streaming pre-sale gross merchandise volume (GMV) reached 17.8 billion yuan ($2.44 billion), with 16.68 million orders placed. Nearly half of the viewers made purchases during the live streams, with an average spending of over 2,000 yuan per user.
Trip.com is poised to expand its live streaming operations beyond Asia. By doing so, the company aims to bring its innovative model to a global audience, further solidifying its position as a leader in the travel and tourism industry and contributing to the broader goals of the Silk Road E-commerce initiative.
