Shanghai is gearing up to host the first-ever International Advanced Air Mobility Expo from July 23 to 26 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
Spanning over 100,000 square meters, the expo will showcase the burgeoning low-altitude economy, a sector poised to revolutionize industries around the world, focusing on infrastructure, manufacturing, and support systems.
"This expo will be a grand gathering of manufacturers, service providers, and operators," said Ning Feng, president of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
It will bring together over 500 exhibitors, including industry giants like DJI, Geek Bridge, and United Aircraft. DJI will showcase its latest drones and automated inspection systems, while United Aircraft will present solutions in emergency services, agriculture, and logistics.
Attendees can expect to see the integration of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft with technologies such as 5G, AI, and big data.
Alongside the expo will be the Low-Altitude Economy Infrastructure Development Conference, which will spotlight the essential role of infrastructure in this rapidly expanding field.
One highlight will be the unveiling of the Low-Altitude Economy Infrastructure Framework Research Report, which will introduce a comprehensive standard system and implementation pathway for infrastructure development.
"The central task of building low-altitude economic infrastructure is to ensure aircraft can take off, fly far, land safely, and be effectively managed," said Wang Ruiping, president of the China Civil Airports Association.
The association will set up a dedicated area for infrastructure innovations at the expo, showcasing advancements in airspace management, intelligent takeoff and landing facilities, and safety technologies. These will be demonstrated through interactive displays highlighting applications in emergency management, urban governance, and public services.
Interactive experiences will include flight trials, industry demonstrations, sports competitions, and a nighttime drone light show, promising an engaging and insightful experience for all.
