To make travel easier for passengers, China's railway operator has introduced a new luggage transportation service.
The "travel light" service provides "door-to-station" and "station-to-door" luggage assistance for travelers at some of the nation's major railway stations, according to the China State Railway Group.
With the "door-to-station" service, passengers will have their luggage picked up from a designated location (within 35 km of the station), transported to the departure station, and then delivered to either a luggage service locker or the platform.
The "station-to-door" service helps passengers get their luggage retrieved from the platform or a luggage locker upon arrival at the destination, and then delivered to a chosen address (within 35 km of the station).
Passengers can find the "travel light" service on the 12306 app or WeChat mini-program.
