A roundtable meeting for Italian entrepreneurs was held in Shanghai Hongqiao International Hongqiao International Central Business District on July 9.

Representatives from 33 Chinese and Italian companies operating in the sci-tech innovation, IT, environmental protection and intelligent manufacturing sectors gathered to explore commercial opportunities.

The event was organized by the CBD's administrative committee and the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce. Key speakers included Lorenzo Riccardi from the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce and Paolo Sabbatini, a cultural exchange ambassador.

Kong Fu'an, executive vice-director of the CBD's administrative committee, welcomed the guests and highlighted the district's benefits for business.

Participants expressed their optimism about leveraging the meeting as a springboard for deeper business ties in areas such as technology development, market expansion and industry synergies to elevate Sino-Italian economic and trade relations to new heights.

Hongqiao CBD is continuing to boost its role as a gateway for bilateral commerce. Its aim is to foster a market-oriented, law-based and world-class business environment, thereby supporting the growth of Sino-Italian partnerships across various sectors.
