The Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District signed an agreement on July 9 with TMF Services (China), a unit of Netherlands-based TMF Group, to help businesses in the Yangtze River Delta or the YRD region to expand overseas.
Yang Xubo, deputy director of the district's administrative committee and Mark Weil, CEO of TMF Group, participated in the signing ceremony.
TMF offers a wide range of administrative services that are key to the establishment and compliance operations of companies globally. Its clients include private equity fund managers, corporations, high-net-worth individuals and family offices, helping them invest and operate around the world.
The new partnership aims to combine TMF Group's expertise with the strengths of the Hongqiao CBD to help YRD businesses enter global markets more easily.
The Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center in the district will work with TMF Group and other professional institutions to integrate resources from the government, public and market sectors. This will be to ensure the smooth cross-border movement of goods, capital, people, data, technology and services.
The goal is to create a new model of "YRD Manufacturing + Hongqiao Services + International Market" — positioning the region as a key hub for global business expansion.
