In Shanghai's Changning district, the Art Park shopping mall has transformed itself into a quirky, popular and exciting pet-friendly shopping destination.
To welcome pet owners and their furry companions, it's launched the Healing Plush Party. Within its sunken plaza, the Pet Island Garden — adorned with cat and dog sculptures, artificial grass and floral decorations — offers a picturesque setting for photos.
A variety of activities for pets and their owners have been introduced.
These range from pet yoga sessions and board game challenges to a lively sports meet. Enhancing the shopping experience further, the Link Trunk Market presents handmade accessories and cultural products.
Starting Aug 16, events such as Bubble Battles and Pet Pool Parties kicked off. Parking discounts are also available until Sept 30, with free parking for three hours on weekends and holidays with any purchase.
Aiming to build a great pet products retail ecosystem, the mall has introduced Pet&Fresh, which offers imported pet food and smart products. Additionally, the PLS pet lifestyle brand is set to open soon, providing grooming and retail services.
Visitors can take advantage of free pet stroller rentals and pet rest areas equipped with drinking facilities. Some restaurants feature pet menus, while retail stores offer pet gifts. A pet-keeping charter is in place to promote leash use and cleanliness.
Future plans include pet-themed markets, talent competitions and adoption days in collaboration with animal protection organizations. A pet owners' club will also be established to foster community engagement.
