The Hongqiao Overseas Trade Center is a key platform in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District, serving as a hub for international trade, economic cooperation, and business exchanges.
To further enhance its functions, the Shanghai Hongqiao International CBD Administrative Committee has introduced a series of supportive measures, effective from Nov 26, 2024 through Dec 31, 2028.
Key highlights include:
I. Eligible entities
1. Institutions recognized for support, as well as operators of platforms providing shared office spaces at the trade center.
2. Domestic and international trade organizations legally registered and conducting business activities.
II. Basic requirements
Organizations must have sound financial management systems, good tax and accounting credit, and be in normal operating condition. They must also meet at least one of the following terms:
1. The functions and results of projects applying for support must be primarily based in the Hongqiao International CBD.
2. The entity undertakes projects supported by the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government.
III. Major supportive measures
For platform operators
1. Operational subsidies: Up to 9 million yuan ($1.25 million) annually to encourage the provision of shared office spaces and public service sites.
2. Operational rewards: Up to 3 million yuan annually for enhancing functional concentration and influence.
Sub-platforms of the trade center receive half these amounts.
For resident organizations
1. Clustering rewards: A one-time reward of up to 2 million yuan for new entrants based on their level and scale.
2. Special subsidies: Up to 2 million yuan annually for contributions to investment, trade promotion, and international exchanges.
