Geospatial equipment tech firm CHC Navigation, or CHCNAV in Shanghai's Hongqiao International Central Business District and AI-powered sanitation robots maker Shanghai Kusa Technology Co recently signed an agreement to jointly develop a digital twin platform for urban sanitation.
The two companies will integrate robotic operation platforms with high-precision positioning technologies to build a sanitation digital twin platform, energize urban services and jointly promote the global adoption of unmanned robots.

The partnership will enhance robotics by integrating CHC Navigation's cloud-based positioning technology with Kusa's multimodal data fusion algorithms.
The combination aims to increase accuracy and robustness, enabling robots to perform continuous and stable operations even in complex environments.
In developing the digital sanitation platform, CHC Navigation will create high-precision urban base maps through virtual mapping. Using data from over 60,000 sanitation vehicles and real-time operations in more than 30 regions, the platform will enable predictive and closed-loop digital management.
Globally, Kusa's overseas projects can directly adopt CHC Navigation's RTK network for rapid robot deployment without calibration. Both companies also aim to strengthen an independent domestic ecosystem by advancing localized alternatives in software and hardware to achieve full-chain self-reliance.
The strategic cooperation highlights strong synergies in combining robotics with high-precision positioning — setting a new model for smart cities and unmanned sanitation industries worldwide.
