Drinkers will be shouting Prost! at a rousing and rollicking German beer festival on Sept 24-27, when the InterContinental Shanghai Hongqiao NECC hotel stages the Oktoberfest NECC InterContinental — presenting four days of Bavarian culture, cuisine and entertainment.
The much-anticipated beer fest at the hotel — located in the Hongqiao International Central Business District in Shanghai — will feature Paulaner beer, one of the six official brands of Munich's famed Oktoberfest.
Brewed in accordance with the 1516 German Beer Purity Law, Paulaner has upheld traditional brewing methods for more than five centuries, using only barley malt, hops, water and yeast.
Renowned for its rich flavor and consistent quality, Paulaner accounts for over 60 percent of the market at the Munich Oktoberfest, beloved by beer enthusiasts worldwide.
Its unique brewing process creates a signature golden hue and smooth, long-lasting foam — with every glass said to embody the craftsmanship of German brewers.
Visitors will be able to sample a range of Paulaner products, including the classic Munchner Hell, celebrated for its rich malt aroma. They can also quaff a light wheat beer crafted with a sugar-free and fat-free formula, that offers a refreshing and easy-drinking experience.
The culinary treats on offer will include traditional German specialties such as sausages, pork knuckles and pretzels, prepared by chefs at the hotel.
In addition, a Bavarian band invited from Germany will provide live thigh-slapping performances, creating a totally authentic festive atmosphere.
