A group of around 40 students from Jeju National University in South Korea visited the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District to learn how it is supporting overseas talent and industrial innovation.
The visit began at the CBD's exhibition hall, where students learned about Hongqiao's strategic location and development plans as a key hub in the Yangtze River Delta.
They also toured the Hongqiao International Talents Service Center, which offers policy support and career development services for international talent. They also learned about the Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center, which helps companies expand internationally. Together, these centers support both talent attraction and business globalization in Hongqiao.
At the Midea Global Innovation Park, students were introduced to Midea Group's innovations in smart manufacturing. Impressed by the company's technological advancements, the students expressed interest in future collaborations between China and South Korea in innovation and manufacturing.
Throughout the visit, students participated in Q&A sessions with staff, discussing career opportunities and cultural integration for foreign talent in China. The experience underscored Hongqiao's welcoming environment for global talent.
This trip provided Jeju National University students with insights into Hongqiao's international achievements and its potential as a destination for global talent and businesses.
