
A group of government officials from Belt and Road partner countries visited Hongqiao Import Commodity Exhibition and Trade Center in Shanghai on April 10 to explore opportunities in cross-border e-commerce, digital economy and drone transportation.
At the Low-Altitude Economy Exhibition and Trade Center, the delegates learned about China's advancements in electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles (eVTOLs) and hydrogen-powered aviation. A delegate from Tanzania expressed a strong interest in China's dual-driven model of technology and market expansion.

The group also toured the CIIE Goods Shopping Collection, where they saw how global exhibits are transformed into marketable products. In the Oceania Pavilion, a representative from the Solomon Islands shared hopes of increased recognition for his country.
At the live streaming base, Du Xiaona from the Silk Road Cloud Products Alliance discussed the rise of live streaming e-commerce, driven by post-pandemic consumption trends and supportive government policies. Delegates discussed live streaming operations and cross-border e-commerce.
The visit concluded at Hongqiao International Coffee Harbor, where delegates tasted Ethiopian coffee and learned about the global coffee supply chain. Colombian and Tanzanian delegates were pleased to find their countries' coffee beans featured.

This exchange, organized by China's Ministry of Commerce, demonstrated China's efforts to integrate global products and share its economic experiences, with delegates leaving inspired by the opportunities observed.
