International travelers can now exchange foreign currency at Shanghai's Hongqiao Airport Terminal 2 and Pudong Airport Terminal 1 & 2 metro stations along the Airport Link Line.
On April 10, a Polish traveler used the service at Hongqiao Terminal 2 station upon arriving in Shanghai, completing his transaction in under two minutes before purchasing a metro ticket.

This new service by Shanghai Metro aims to simplify travel for foreign visitors by providing currency exchange directly at key airport metro stations.
Previously, travelers had to exchange currency within airport terminals before accessing the metro.
Plans are underway to expand these services to other transport hubs and metro stations near business districts.
