Shanghai's Hongqiao 365, an import commodity exhibition and trade center, has become a vital platform for importing and distributing goods worldwide, channeling the benefits of the China International Import Expo (CIIE).

"We have achieved dual breakthroughs in launching new products and expanding brand presence here," said a four-time CIIE exhibitor. "Thanks to the platform's year-round exhibitions, diverse promotional activities and integrated group-buying channels, our Indonesian monsoon-sourced bird's nests and wild civet coffee have transformed from mere exhibits to blockbuster products."

A Hongqiao 365 official highlighted that the center's strategic location, adjacent to the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) and the Hongqiao Comprehensive Transportation Hub, facilitates transitions from exhibitions to markets in the Yangtze River Delta region and beyond.

The center has established a comprehensive "warehouse-exhibition-trade-office" model, encompassing a 50,000-square-meter bonded logistics area, an 80,000-sq-m consumer goods exhibition hall, and a 130,000-sq-m industrial products launch platform.

It hosts over 6,000 brands from 120 countries and regions, offering more than 90,000 imported products, with transaction volume exceeding 36 billion yuan ($5.28 billion) to date, solidifying its role as a key carrier of CIIE outcomes.

The Hongqiao International Coffee Harbor has become a major trade hub, generating 3 billion yuan and training over 8,000 baristas. "I used to rely on agents for imported coffee. Now, I can choose freely and taste them on-site," said Ms Li, a frequent visitor.

The live-streaming e-commerce base, with 60 studios, has significantly boosted sales for companies like South Korea's Samyang. During the 2026 Spring Festival shopping festival, Samyang's spicy noodles achieved sales of over 3 million yuan in just one month.

The rise of the low-altitude economy is adding new vitality to Hongqiao 365. The Yangtze River Delta Low-Altitude Economy Exhibition and Trade Center hosts over 20 companies, forming a comprehensive industry chain platform.

Hongqiao 365's bonded logistics center continues to excel, handling 14.87 million orders worth 3.68 billion yuan in 2025, maintaining its leading position in imports in Shanghai.

Looking forward, Hongqiao 365 plans to explore cross-border data flows and trade facilitation, aiming to become a hub for institutional innovation. It also seeks to develop a "Silk Road E-commerce" selection center, linking Chinese brands to global markets and attracting international talent to settle in Hongqiao.
