
The Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District is strengthening its role as a gateway for Yangtze River Delta (YRD) companies looking to expand overseas.
On Aug 18, the Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center hosted a salon in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, to help cross-border e-commerce businesses explore opportunities in the European market.
The event was co‑organized by the Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center and the Ningbo Cross‑Border E‑commerce Promotion Center, with support from the Ningbo Cross‑Border E‑commerce Association and the European Ningbo General Chamber of Commerce.
Experts from Midea Cloud, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and Meetsocial shared practical advice on going global, covering AI-powered manufacturing, online sales, and digital marketing.
Midea Cloud introduced AI solutions to help manufacturers manage overseas supply chains, logistics, and operations. Amazon shared AI tools for product selection, advertising, inventory, and compliance across European markets.
TikTok Shop highlighted opportunities in social commerce in the United Kingdom and across Europe, while Meetsocial presented its Marvy 2.0 AI platform for overseas marketing.
The Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center also introduced its services for YRD companies, including global market information, overseas resources, and business support services.
The center said it will continue working with partners to bring more overseas resources to the region and help more YRD companies go global from Hongqiao.
