An European delegation comprising experts and entrepreneurs from organizations including INESCOP, Icad, The Human Touch / Executive ScaleUp, and GlobalTechIP visited East Hongqiao in Shanghai's Changning district on Sept 5.
The visit was part of the 2026 Spanish and European Robotics, AI and Advanced Manufacturing Delegation's China trip, aimed at exploring Shanghai's robotics and industrial AI ecosystem and promoting technology exchange and international cooperation.
The delegation brought expertise in flexible footwear manufacturing, robot teleoperation and training data, AI, and machine vision, with discussions focusing on potential cooperation with East Hongqiao's robotics and smart manufacturing industries.
The group visited three technology companies in Changning. At Shanghai Huazhijian Technology, delegates viewed quadruped robots, humanoid robots, and smart lawn mowers, and discussed applications in manufacturing, waste recycling, and high-risk operations.
At Black Lake Technology, the delegation explored industrial digitalization and AI applications in flexible manufacturing. At Shanghai Hi-Dolphin Robot Technology Co Ltd, members experienced a seventh-generation robot making coffee and discussed innovations in service robotics with the company's R&D team.
