As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, Panlong Xintiandi in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District will host the Heritage Now Festival, bringing the charm of Jiangnan culture to life.
Running from Sept 16 to Oct 18, the festival will feature paper art, live music, traditional opera and a lantern parade. More than 40 riverside stalls will offer arts, crafts and workshops, while a 30-meter communal table will serve as a gathering place for a festive feast.
After dark, lanterns and digital light art will illuminate the waterways, creating a lively night market where visitors can enjoy local food and music and explore intangible cultural heritage crafts.
