Registration opened on Sept 9 for individual visitors to the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE), which will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from Nov 5 to 10.
Visitors can register online through the CIIE's official website, app, or WeChat mini program.

All visitors must register online in advance. Regular on-site registration will not be available.
Who can register?
Individual visitor registration is intended for those who are not part of a trade delegation or registering through an organization and who wish to visit the expo.
Applicants must be at least 14 years old. Media professionals should not register via this channel.
How to register
On mobile
Open the official CIIE WeChat mini program, log in, and select Individual Visitor Registration. Fill in the required personal information and complete payment.
After registration, visitors can check their badge status through the mini program.
On a computer
Visit the official CIIE website at www.ciie.org/zbh/en/,go to the Business Exhibition section, select Registration, then choose Individual Visitor.
Follow the instructions to enter personal information, complete payment, and submit the application.
After registration, applicants can log in to the visitor section of the website to check their badge status.
Registration and payment do not automatically guarantee admission. Personal information will be reviewed first. Once approved, a visitor badge will be issued.
How will the visitor badge be delivered?
All individual visitor badges will be delivered by courier free of charge.
Applicants should provide a valid delivery address in the Chinese mainland that will remain available for the next six months.
Once the badge has been dispatched, you can check delivery information through the CIIE website or WeChat mini program.
What payment methods are accepted?
You can pay the 50-yuan visitor badge service fee by QR code using payment services including UnionPay, WeChat Pay, and Alipay.
Those registering on a computer can also pay with international cards, including Mastercard, Visa, JCB, Diners Club, and UnionPay, as well as with major digital wallets, including Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Can I refund or transfer a registration?
After payment, the application will enter the information review process.
If an applicant does not pass the review, they can request a refund by following the instructions sent by text message or email. The applicant will bear any exchange-rate gains or losses arising from the refund.
Once an application has been approved, the badge automatically enters production. The fee can no longer be refunded, and the registered visitor cannot be replaced.
Can foreign visitors apply for an invitation letter?
Foreign nationals can register as individual visitors, but invitation letters are not available through the individual visitor registration channel.
Those who need an invitation letter should go to the Business Exhibition section, select Registration, then choose Professional Visitor followed by Institutional Visitor.
