As the eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE), scheduled for early November in Shanghai, enters its 200-day countdown, preparations are in full swing to host what is set to be a landmark event in global trade.
The CIIE Bureau has announced that nearly 800 companies from more than 70 countries and regions have already signed up to participate, with the total exhibition area reaching about 250,000 square meters.
The first batch of around 300 exhibitors has been unveiled, including more than 100 exhibitors who have participated in every CIIE since its inception.
The CIIE aims to maintain its vast exhibition scale, while placing a special emphasis on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from abroad.
The eighth Hongqiao International Economic Forum will take place alongside the expo, with its thematic agenda nearing completion and guest invitations already underway.
