Held at the Hongqiao International Coffee Harbor, the event aimed to empower local coffee brands, preserve Shanghai's cultural heritage, and foster innovation in specialty coffee. With over 10,336 coffee shops, the city's coffee industry is evolving from price competition to a focus on quality and creativity.
Participants infused their brews with iconic Shanghai elements such as magnolias, White Rabbit candy, Nanhui 8424 watermelon, and local delicacies, creating a sensory feast for both the eyes and taste buds.
The audience was captivated by the unique combinations. One attendee remarked, "I never thought coffee could pair with xiaolongbao and watermelon. It's surprisingly delightful!"
Judges applauded the event for its creativity and professionalism, noting that competitors successfully maintained coffee's core aroma while introducing novel flavors.
