The Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District has held its "Invest Hongqiao" overseas promotion events in the United Kingdom and Spain, aiming to attract global investment and expand international cooperation.
Led by Kong Fu'an, executive deputy director of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District Administrative Commission, the delegation attended London Tech Week 2026 in early June.
During the visit, it hosted a dialogue with 110 British and other international enterprises, highlighting Hongqiao's superior location, supportive policies, complete industrial chains, and strong innovation strengths. At the event, global exhibitions company Informa Markets confirmed that the 2026 Hongqiao Tech Week will be held in Shanghai from Nov 20 to 22.
During investment promotion meetings in Madrid and Granada, the delegation showcased Hongqiao's strengths in transportation, exhibitions, business services, and technological innovation, while also promoting the ninth China International Import Expo, which will be held in Hongqiao this November.
The events further strengthened economic and trade ties between Shanghai and the two countries. Many participating enterprises expressed interest in pursuing cooperation and investment opportunities in Hongqiao, a key hub connecting domestic and international markets.
