A new meteorological service station dedicated to helping companies in the Yangtze River Delta region go global was unveiled in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District on June 18.

The station was jointly established by the Hongqiao International CBD Administrative Commission and the Shanghai Meteorological Service.

At the launch ceremony, Feng Lei, director of the Shanghai Meteorological Service, introduced the "MAZU" intelligent early warning platform, which has already been deployed in countries including Mongolia, Djibouti, and Nigeria. The system provides real-time weather monitoring and disaster alerts for overseas projects in sectors such as energy, transportation, mining, and ports.

Kong Fu'an, executive deputy director of the Hongqiao International CBD Administrative Commission, said Hongqiao is building a one-stop service platform for companies expanding abroad, bringing together professional services in cross-border consulting, legal affairs, and finance.

Under the new partnership, the two sides will share global weather data, issue overseas disaster warnings, and provide tailored weather services to help mitigate risks and support the overseas operations of YRD enterprises.
