
The Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District and Changshu, a county-level city in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, have joined forces to support companies expanding overseas with the launch of the Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center's Suzhou (Changshu) Empowerment Base on June 17.
Both sides pledged to strengthen support for businesses seeking international opportunities.
Yang Xubo, deputy director of the Hongqiao International Central Business District Administrative Commission, said Hongqiao has established a global overseas development service network and brought together professional resources to provide end-to-end support for companies going global.
He said the new cooperation would further strengthen regional collaboration across the Yangtze River Delta region and help more enterprises enter global markets through Hongqiao.
Zhang Wei, mayor of Changshu, noted that Changshu has a strong manufacturing base and dynamic foreign trade platforms. He said closer cooperation with Hongqiao would provide stronger support for local enterprises expanding abroad.
Experts attending the launch ceremony shared insights on opportunities in Saudi Arabia and risk management in the Middle East, offering practical guidance for companies exploring overseas markets.
