The China Pharmaceutical Innovation Conference (CPIC) 2026 will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) in the Hongqiao International Central Business District from July 22 to 24, bringing together global pharmaceutical executives, investors, researchers, and AI innovators to discuss the future of drug development.
The three-day conference is expected to attract participants from 15 countries across four continents, including senior executives from multinational pharmaceutical companies such as AstraZeneca, Roche, Bayer, Eli Lilly, and leading Chinese biopharma firms.
More than 800 speakers will take part in over 60 forums covering 600 topics across 40 technology tracks. Key themes include global business development, cross-border partnerships and mergers, AI-powered drug discovery, clinical research, cell and gene therapies, antibody therapeutics, and biotechnology investment.
The opening-day plenary session will feature keynote speeches by renowned scientists and industry leaders, followed by panel discussions on multinational collaboration, overseas expansion of Chinese innovative medicines, investment trends, and the commercialization of breakthrough therapies.
The conference will also feature dedicated forums on AI-powered drug discovery, radiopharmaceuticals, stem cells, nanobodies, regenerative medicine, innovative manufacturing, cross-border investment, legal services, and cooperation between China and international markets, including Europe, the United States, Japan, and BRICS countries.
Organizers say CPIC 2026 aims to strengthen Shanghai's role as a global hub for pharmaceutical innovation by providing a platform for scientific exchange, investment cooperation, and international business development, while fostering collaboration between Chinese and international life sciences companies.
