Shanghai's Hongqiao International Central Business District hosted an international innovation salon and industry matchmaking event on July 17, bringing together global experts, researchers, and business representatives to promote innovation and international cooperation.
The event was organized by the Yangtze River Delta International Talent and Technology Service Station, a platform that connects overseas experts, universities, and companies.
Discussions centered on digital innovation, artificial intelligence, and advanced aerospace materials. Professor David Bassir of Paris-Saclay University and Professor Zied Moumni of Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Paris Elite Institute of Technology shared insights into AI, digital innovation, and China-France research cooperation.
Experts and company representatives also explored ways to accelerate technology commercialization and better match research with industry needs.
Overseas experts also visited companies in the Hongqiao CBD to discuss technology needs and potential cooperation projects.
The service station will continue to strengthen its efforts to attract international talent, support technology transfer, and foster the growth of innovative projects. It aims to bring more global innovation resources to the YRD, reinforcing Hongqiao's role as a gateway connecting Chinese companies with global innovation.
