Shanghai hosts International Advanced Air Mobility Expo

The 2026 International Advanced Air Mobility Expo opened on July 22 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), convening industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to showcase the latest advances in low-altitude aviation.

Running through July 25, the four-day event spans 60,000 square meters and features 452 exhibitors from across the industry chain. Under the theme "Unlocking New Opportunities in the Low-Altitude Economy," the expo includes more than 80 forums, industry matchmaking sessions, and public activities.

A total of 570 aircraft and models are on display, including 51 electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, 18 general aviation aircraft, and 501 drones, highlighting China's growing capabilities in the low-altitude economy.

The exhibition spans the entire industrial chain, from aircraft manufacturing and key components to infrastructure, safety systems, and financial services. Major State-owned enterprises, global companies including Siemens and Dassault Systemes, listed firms and leading Chinese eVTOL startups are showcasing their latest products and technologies. Several new aircraft and innovations are making their public debut at the event.

On the opening day, 13 professional forums were held. Discussions focused on policy, technology, commercialization, safety, investment, and real-world applications.

The expo also features drone competitions and interactive experiences designed for the public, allowing visitors to explore emerging low-altitude technologies firsthand.
