The second Shanghai International Light Festival will take place from Sept 19 to Oct 18, with the Changning sub-venue hosting daily events from 7 pm to 9:30 pm.
The events, themed Sparkling Changning, will feature a rich lineup of highlights across a central hub, two illuminated corridors, and three commercial areas.

Livat Shanghai will serve as the festival's centerpiece, with SkyBridge HQ and IBP Hongqiao Shangcheng joining in. Together, these iconic buildings will be transformed by dazzling light shows, illuminating Changning's nights with color and energy.

Yan'an Elevated Road corridor: Trophy buildings along the elevated road will be bathed in light, highlighting the harmony of architecture and illumination. The displays will tell the stories of the city's past while adding depth to the night skyline.
Suzhou Creek waterfront: The Changning section of the Suzhou Creek will connect public spaces and riverside landmarks, creating an open, walkable nightscape for visitors to explore.
Three commercial areas

Zhongshan Park commercial area, Hongqiao Gubei commercial area, and Hengfu Historic Conservation Area will become destinations beyond shopping. By blending light art with multimedia creativity, they will offer stylish nighttime experiences, from interactive installations to themed signage, creating a festive atmosphere rich in culture and local energy.
Highlights to expect
At the Livat Shanghai venue, visitors can look forward to immersive scenes that integrate nature, AI-powered interactivity, and elements of culture, business, sports, and exhibitions, uniting light, technology, and community within a single festival space.
