The new street block blends traditional Chinese poetry with modern cultural elements, offering over 30 themed scenes and interactive experiences. Visitors can enjoy poetry contests, calligraphy, traditional games like pitch-pot and music and dance performances.
It really stands out by combining the old with the new. Creative scenarios — such as a rendition called "The Poet Playing Guitar" — bring historical figures to life in modern settings.
Visitors can also try their hands at such things as flower weaving and pearl painting, guided by cultural heritage experts. Traditional medicine consultations and herbal drinks are also available, turning ancient wellness wisdom into everyday enjoyment.
Thanks to its location near the Hongqiao transportation hub, the street block targets both locals and travelers from across the Yangtze River Delta region. With its convenient high-speed rail access, visitors can quickly dive right into the cultural happenings, making it a fresh and appealing attraction for tourists in Shanghai.
