Shanghai's Linkong Business Park — located in the Hongqiao International Central Business District — defied global economic trends with an impressive 11.8 percent growth in economic output last year.

The success is mainly attributed to the significant contributions of overseas companies, which make up about a quarter of the park's 4,000 businesses.

With the eighth China International Import Expo scheduled for Nov 5-10, the park is set to unveil the Shanghai Low-Altitude Economy Reception Hall in October.

This new development aims to boost the area's focus on low-altitude industries, making it a key player in Shanghai's economic landscape.

The park has become a magnet for major multinational corporations — including Danaher, Johnson Controls, ABB, Eaton, Unilever and Bosch — which have established regional headquarters and R&D centers there.

The digital and tech sectors are also booming, with companies like Trip.com, iQIYI and iFlytek setting up operations. In aviation logistics, the park hosts big names like Kuehne + Nagel and China Eastern Airlines.

Key to this growth is the park's strategic use of targeted policies that provide tailored support to businesses. Changning district offers robust services, including loans and rental subsidies for talent, making it an attractive location for companies.

The new Shanghai Low-Altitude Economy Reception Hall is expected to further enhance the park's appeal. It will focus on attracting businesses related to low-altitude industries and will feature facilities like a reception hall, gym and conference center.

The new reception hall will offer services in industry attraction, airworthiness certification, flight services and financial and legal support. The initiative aims to establish the park as a leading hub for innovation in Shanghai's low-altitude economy.
